Alison Cope recently joined DJ Adek via video call for an in-depth chat about the life of her son – the late Birmingham rapper Depzman.
In 2013, Depzman was tragically stabbed to death in his home city of Birmingham and in an interview with Adek, his mother talks in detail about the rapper.
In the first instalment of the interview, Alison speaks on his introduction to music, the impact of his music, what she has learnt from his material and more. The other parts of the interview – which can be found on Adek’s channel – also see Alison speak on establishing the Joshua Ribera foundation in Depzman’s name, his unreleased music, knife crime and several other topics.
Take in the first instalment of the interview in the video above, before heading to DJ Adek’s YouTube channel to see the other parts of the interview.
