With the current climate already taxing enough for black people, social media users were rightfully angry when it surfaced that Amazon’s UK site housed some distressing language in some of its listings.

Several users reported that upon searching for “AirPods” on the website, multiple listings featured the same image with the N-word used several times throughout.

The listings could easily be found and thousands of tweets were posted last night where customers expressed their disgust at the language they were subjected to.

According to the Financial Times, “An Amazon spokeswoman said the company was removing the images in question and have taken action on the bad actor”.

FT also said that the spokeswoman would not offer any further information.
