London-based artist Anansi has accompanied the release of his latest EP with a fresh set of visuals for a track from the project titled “Danger”.
Coming through with an authentic Latin drill sound, “Danger” is an upbeat offering from Anansi – who lived in Portugal for some time growing up – which sees him confidently flex his bars and flows over the TWB-produced beat.
The track is taken from Anansi’s brand-new Pele 77 EP which pays homage to the the Brazilian football legend Pele.
“Pele Scored 77 goals internationally and was a huge part of taking Brazilian football to the world,” Anansi said when explaining the EP. “In my house, Pele was an icon, a legend and regular conversation topic.”
“For me, this EP is starting the year right to take the energy, sound, ideas that are so common to me, my culture my family, my friends and my people and let everyone see and hear it. Every flow and baile funk sound I use on drill and hip hop beats I feel was like Pele doing skills he learnt in the favela.”
