Apple are looking to push streaming platforms and ending all digital music downloads by early 2019 according to some of the company’s sources.

Although Apple are denying the claims, it is rumoured that the music giant will be transitioning all iTunes downloads to a brand new Apple Music account that restricts the user to only being able to stream songs as opposed to purchasing them.

All previous playlists and details would also be translated onto the platform.
However, this could cause quite a problem for those who need hard copies of music such as DJ’s and artists.

As music downloads face a decrease of 24.1% in the US during the first six months of 2017, have Apple made the right move by switching to a strictly streaming only platform?
