Apple has launched a new version of the App Store, introducing adverts and ways for people to subscribe to games.

The announcement came just days ahead of Apple’s Worldwide Developer conference, where the company would usually announce such changes. This time though, Apple jumped the gun and introduced the new aspects of the app store before the conference. Most of the changes were designed to – surprise surprise – make more money for Apple and app developers.

The App Store will now allow app developers to pay for adverts that will show while you search for apps. So now, not only will your gaming be interrupted by adverts, so will your buying.

Developers will also be able to sell their apps on a subscription basis, allowing users to set up subscriptions to pay for apps continually. The new store changes will also improve the search results, making it easier for users to find new apps without allowing the ads to overpower results.
