Apple’s voice assistant, Siri, allows iPhone users to work their mobile with voice commands. Once activated with the phrase “Hey Siri” the iPhone starts recording.
With such a simple phrase to trigger the recording, often other phrases and sounds can be misheard by the phone, triggering a recording.
Reports have said that object such as zips can trigger the recording, leaving worker – who listen to some Siri recordings to improve its dictation – reported regularly hearing intimate encounters. Since this revelation, it’s been reported that Apple have suspended their access to the Siri recordings.
Apple announced its global suspension and has since said: “We are committed to delivering a great Siri experience while protecting user privacy.
“While we conduct a thorough review, we are suspending Siri grading (quality control) globally. Additionally, as part of a future software update, users will have the ability to choose to participate in grading.”
