Apple could be planning on making an iPhone with a completely different design from the previous models, according to reports.
Analysts from the financial firm UBS have suspected that Apple will release a foldable phone within the next two years. The report from UBS predicts Apple will release a foldable iPad first, before extending the technology to the iPhone.
The report from UBS is reported to have said: “Price remains the key hurdle in most consumers’ minds, while the adequate average premium vs regular smartphones surveyed to be [between] $400 and 500.
“The survey indicates greater willingness to pay a premium… and generally higher interest among Apple buyers for foldable products.”
If the predictions from UBS are correct, the foldable iPhone will be a big move for Apple as their phones have been criticised for the lack of change to its design in recent times.
