After a ruling from a judge, A$AP Rocky has finally been released from prison in Sweden pending a verdict in his trial.
Donald Trump, who has been publicly campaigning for Rocky’s release, took to Twitter to confirm the news.
“A$AP Rocky released from prison and on his way home to the United States from Sweden”, Trump wrote.
“It was a Rocky Week, get home ASAP A$AP!”
The ruling has come after a three-day trial, which has resulted in the Harlem rapper being freed until a judge is set to make a verdict on the rapper’s case on August 14th.
A$AP Rocky had been detained since July 3rd when he was accused of being involved in a fight in Stockholm. Prior to his trial, he was charged with aggravated assault.
The artist and his camp have maintained that the fight had taken place after he was being harassed on the street on June 30.
