To celebrate the launch of his No Bullshit project, Avelino blessed long time collaborators True Religion with an intimate performance at their flagship London store in Carnaby Street. Avelino performed a range of well selected cuts from the new project, “1 In A Million” being the standout track that people were really vibsing to.
It’s been three years since he released Iconic Ambition, and although the mixtape is still a banger, the artistic development has been unparalleled; having been there from the start True Religion have witnessed this upwards trajectory first hand.
The one thing that has remained a constant throughout the various chapters of Avelino’s career is that he’s been consistently lyrical, whether it’s overtly on a track like “Young Fire Old Flame” or in more subtle ways on “1 In A Million”. This is something Avelino says he will never sacrifice, and is adamant that lyrics will always been the foundation of anything he does.
Aside from his lyrical prowess Avelino’s knows a fan favourite when he hears one, when we asked if he was surprised by the tunes the fans have taken to the most ;he said he wasn’t, even revealing that he’d already shot videos for two tracks off No Bullshit.
