Swedish, London-based singer AWA has released her new EP Cry Baby.

Back in 2012, AWA rose to fame when she won the Swedish version of the X Factor with her incredible voice. Since her return after taking a break, AWA has proved nothing but musical steadiness eight years on.

Cry Baby
channels the young artist’s ability to speak on familiarities, in the most poignant, versatile way. Often likened to vocal counterparts Kehlani and Kiana Ledé, each song on the EP possess impressive range; from the likes of the pop-inspired “Like I Do” to the emotion-driven track “F**king Love Songs” in which she expresses: “All these f*cking love songs/ I write better when it hurts”.

Offering a feature from UK Hip-hop artist Ebenezer and American artist BJ The Chicago Kid, the fresh blend of pop and R&B is something you don’t want to miss out on.
