Aya Nakamura has dropped her new project Aya featuring collaborations with Stormzy, Ms Banks and OBOY.
Born in Mali, Aya sings in French and offers her well-tuned and catchy vocals over varied instrumentals across the duration of the 42-minute long project.
On the project’s opener, “Plus Jamais” which translates to “Never Again”, Aya sings in her unique tone before Stormzy offers infectious and in tune melodies about relationship perils and heartbreak.
London’s own Ms Banks also lends her talents to “Mon Lossa” which is overtly inspired by Latin music as well as afropop.
