Ayo Beatz
‘#Burj Khalifa’
In the run up to his XL Beach (Dubai) summer shows, that is sure to set the city alight, Ayo Beatz drops a bass knocking UAE influenced banger ‘#BurjKhalifa’. Already suppported by Bbc Radio 1xtra & Radio 1 UAE the tune produced and written by himself, is inspired by the world’s tallest building. The Burj Khalifa. Ayo Beatz uses the Burj as a metaphor, to describe that ambition, I guess we all have, we all wanna do it big, we all aspire to be sky high like the ‘Burj Khalifa.’
Ayo Beatz’s steady ascension in the UK music scene started with the soft release of ‘Far Away’ which featured DJ Ironik / Joelle Moses (The Voice-BBC) and the accompanying remix featuring the likes of Wretch 32. This led to ‘Boom Ayo’, his self-produced up-tempo, electro-break beat filled interpolation of the 90’s hit ‘Boom Boom Boom’ by The Outhere Brothers. With no formal promotion, the 2 tracks gaining a healthy half a million youtube views which generated a respectable buzz around him.
Definitely charismatic and exceptionally gifted, this triple-threat artist is fast becoming a much sought-after producer by UK and international acts. With production/collaboration duties for everyone in the urban music scene (signed & unsigned; think of Wiley/Roll deep/J2K, Wretch 32, Professor Green etc), plus official remixes for the likes of Jason Derulo, Rebecca Ferguson, Iyaz, Jessica Lowndes and a sleuth of other ‘a listers’ not forgetting soon to be released production/feature duties for artist signed to 300ent and Lava records.
He also gave the sound to UK’s alternative pop starlet, Caitlyn Scarlett, by producing her whole Ep, ‘Jusrrasic Jukebox & Other Drugs’
Burj Kalifa is the first of a series of singles, he will be dropping from his new EP and through his label DW Records / Illstarz Seismic
