Following the release of his STILL WAITING EP, B Joux has is a talent that has kept consistent and has now returned with a 10 song LP a mere 2 months later.
LOST TIME is the latest project from the East London artist, similar to his style it intertwines a sensual R’N’B alongside raw rap. A testament to his ability to straddle both lanes is shown through it’s entirety.
With both production and vocal credits, B Joux’s creativity is at the forefront of his work with many of the tracks featured on LOST TIME giving constant vibes. The project kicks of with “End Of The Day” which is a hard-hitting intro track that sets the tone for what is to come.
LOST TIME reflects B Joux’s progression, with this project taking influence from sounds varying from electric hip-hop to drill. In a similar way progression and the come up in a sense are themes explored throughout this LP, particularly in songs like “Manor” and “Story Never Ends” – which are thoughtful and give an insight into the artist himself. The title referring to time that he has lost and is striving to make up for.
The LP although 13 tracks long, has a short running time of around 30 minutes – many of the tracks being no more than 3 minutes in length. Despite this, B Joux and producers AB The Creator and Frosty The Producer have succeeded in hitting the short but sweet mark. With a combination of beats; melodic, base heavy and explosive, the songs despite their length are full of content and will still have you bopping. It also sees features from two other artists: Ace Sizzy and IDEH.
As the LP progresses, the ambiance switches up; tracks like ‘No Regrets’ which is set to be B Joux’s first single from the project, are more upbeat. “Wanna Be Us” and “Fantastic” are similar in this way but also serve in being flairy. Succeeding this are slower tunes like “Roll With Me” and “Take You Down” that are rhythmic, comprised of smooth hooks. One’s that the ladies will love.
Being his first major project, it is an honest presentation of himself and his talented. Having racked up thousands of streams across platforms, B Joux, LOST TIME in a new and impressive way point. Cohesive and jam-packed full of wavey bars and chill tunes for every occasion.
