An old TV interview found in the archives might reveal the identity of the elusive and anonymous artist Banksy.
Banky’s identity has remained a top secret throughout his career; with the only viable description being from a 2003 interview with The Guardian where the journalist described him as, “white, 28, scruffy casual – jeans, T-shirt, a silver tooth, silver chain and silver earring. He looks like a cross between Jimmy Nail and Mike Skinner of the Streets”.
In this new unearthed interviewed filmed for ITV News, the man believed to be Banksy is shown stencilling artwork onto the wall and painting an image; one being the Kill More piece which has been confirmed to be one of Banksy’s works.
The person believed to be Banksy said in the interview, “It’s hard to make an entertaining picture at the best of times but at least if you have something that wanders around and licks its nose and urinates in front of you it’s going to make the picture a bit more interesting”.

In response, Banksy’s team said, “No comment. We get loads of these”.
Banksy recently made headlines for designing Stormzy’s customised stab-proof vest which displayed a blackened Union Jack on the front. Banksy said, “I made a customised stab-proof vest and thought – who could possibly wear this? Stormzy at Glastonbury”.
Stormzy responded to the revelation of Banksy being the designer and said, “You’ll never know what this means to me. I feel like I am dreaming, this is all a dream. Honoured, grateful, thank you, I don’t have any words for this…Tears of joy”.
