Former U.S. president Barack Obama has unveiled his annual summer playlist and making the cut this year are a few popular names from the UK.
Taking to Twitter to unveil the playlist, Obama wrote: “Like I do every year, here are some songs I’ve been listening to this summer — a mix of old and new. Look forward to hearing what I’ve missed.”
J Hus and Drake’s “Who Told You” is a strong contender for song of the summer and the huge track has made it to Obama’s summer playlist. Also making it to the list is Jorja Smith and her single “Try Me”, as well as Londoner Michael Kiwanuka and his 2016 offering “Love & Hate”.
The playlist also features songs from Nigerian stars such as Burna Boy and Arya Starr, as well as Stateside stars Ice Spice, 21 Savage, Nicki Minaj and SZA.
