A year after lighting up London’s iconic Bush Hall with two explosive headline performances, West London rapper and multihyphenate Bashy returns with a new milestone: the release of the live edition of his acclaimed album. Being Poor is Expensive (Live Deluxe) — recorded entirely at Bush Hall.
Bashy has also revealed plans for two upcoming short films dropping on YouTube.
Episode 1 (17 November) gives fans an intimate, behind-the-scenes look at the moments leading up to the shows, featuring appearances from his inner circle and creative collaborators.
Episode 2 (21 November) showcases the full live set — complete with a full band and guest performances from Skrapz, Haile, and Roses Gabor.
The Bush Hall dates capped off a landmark chapter for Bashy. The album earned him MOBO Awards for ‘Album of the Year’ and ‘Best Hip Hop Act’, as well as an Ivor Novello nomination for the poignant “How Black Men Lose Their Smile.”
