The 26-year-old joins the likes of NBA MVP Kevin Durant, New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith and boxer Miguel Cotto on the Roc Nation Sports roster.

Roc Nation Sports is the sister company of Jay-Z’s Roc Nation, that provides management services to the likes of Rita Ora, Kanye West and Rihanna.

The 2014 World Cup winner does a lot of charity work and is big music fan.

Speaking about his new partnership, Jerome Boateng, who is the first footballer to join Roc Nation Sports, said: “It was a great day with Jay Z. We could ask him anything. We talked mostly about music and football. Jay Z knows about football and has watched numerous games.

“America is a big market. With Jay-Z and Roc Nation I have a lot, we want to try what is possible.”
