The music industry is notoriously difficult to get into; that is most certainly no secret. However the BBC are running a series of events this week from the 8th– 10th of November aimed at aspiring musicians and anyone looking for a career in the music industry. Taking place at the Tobacco Docks, the three days will include a range of different panels, talks and masterclasses from some of the best in the business. Subjects such as ‘How to get a job in the music industry?’, ‘Grime: The next chapter’ and ‘streaming and playlists explained’ will be discussed at length by experts so there will be plenty of opportunities to expand your mind; two of our very own – Lauren & Saquib will both be speaking on panels on the Saturday.
Although it isn’t all about learning, during the evening there will be plenty of live performances from some of the scenes biggest names. DJ Target will be doing a live takeover, with the likes of Geko, Asco, Suspect and Lotto Boyzz to name a few. You can also expect to hear the beautiful harmonies from East London songstress Nao, hot off releasing her new album Saturn. With day tickets starting at as little as £11, it seems like a no brainer for anyone wanting to get an insight from some of the leaders in the industry, tickets can be purchased here.
