Berwyn drops by Radio 1 for a stunning edition of Piano Sessions. The artist took to the Keys performing a cover of Bob Dylan’s “Make You Feel My Love” and his own track “Rubber Bands”.
East London based, Berwyn created a beautifully intimate experience with his enthralling and raw performance. Equally controlled and passionate, the acoustic rendition of “Rubber Bands” brought the emotion of the track to the very surface.
Berwyn’s rich and warm tones float so effortlessly amongst the chords. Each line invites the listener into the lyrics and themes of the song even more. This is something that he is incredibly skilled at doing in his live performance.
His take on the Bob Dylan classic “Make You Feel My Love” (famously covered by Adele) is sombre and inventive. He evokes all the passion of the original. The addition of a heartfelt, soulful overspill paints the song a different colour. His approach to the chord patterns and timing truly offsets this magical performance.
