Everyone’s favourite rapper right now, Chance the Rapper, has capped off an incredible year by making Grammy awards history.

The Chicago-born rapper has pushed new boundaries by becoming the first artist to be nominated for a Grammy award, as a result of streaming-only success.

Undoubtedly the propeller behind the Grammy’s newest reform, Chance has picked up a staggering seven Grammy nominations, including; Best Rap Album and Best New Artist. With his mixtape hitting the US billboard 200 through streaming alone, the Chi town artist has already set new levels this year.

Joining the Colouring Book star in making history, is none other than Queen Bey, Beyoncé. Following the critically-acclaimed success of her sixth studio album Lemonade, the star has racked up an incredible nine nominations and as a result becomes the most nominated woman in Grammy history.

Shout out to both superstars for raising the bar this year, while special mentions must also go to Drake, Adele and Justin Bieber for additionally being in the running for album of the year.
