Big Zuu is the latest guest to sit down on the Where’s Home Really podcast and the episode is a must listen.
Hosted by restaurant critic and Masterchef judge Jimi Famurewa, the Where’s Home Really podcast welcomes Zuu for an in depth chat and as well as exploring his personal definition of home, Zuu also told a shocking story about choking on a fish bone as a kid!
Zuu said, “I remember one time I begged my granny; may she rest in peace, I begged my granny to make it for me. I choked on a bone. There was some fish in there, choked on a barracuda bone, and I felt like I was gonna die. And I remember they came over, and they were like, “eat rice, eat rice, eat rice!” So I was choking, and they’re making me eat rice! I’ll never forget because, I didn’t die, I’m still here. But, instead of squeezing me, trying to help me, nope! Rice!”
Zuu also talked about being a guest chef on Saturday Kitchen, his Mum getting their first permanent home when he was 14 and more.
