North Londoner Biyi – who is also a professional rugby player for Wasps – has announced his debut EP with a new track dubbed “Choppa Sound”!
Compared to his last two offerings “Lately” and “Blame Game” which are both mellow tracks, “Choppa Sound” is a lot more hard-hitting as Biyi attacks the Leo Clayton beat with sharp flows and bold bars.
“This song is full of energy and I like it because it’s a sound people haven’t necessarily heard from me,” Biya said of the track. “I wanted to capture the boastful image of overcoming setbacks and now feeling like “that guy”.
“The video shows bad energy following and trying to weigh me down but confidence in myself helped me to leave it behind in the end.”
The release of “Choppa Sound” has been accompanied by news of Biyi’s forthcoming debut EP, The Fix, which is due for release in November and will also feature three unreleased tracks.
