Manchester rhymer Black Josh has made his return with a new drop dubbed “Complacent”.
It’s been over five months since we last got some fresh material from Josh but he proves his 90s boom-bap sound is still intact as he creates a song that is both nostalgic and refreshing. Production comes courtesy of Josh’s frequent collaborator, Hyroglifics, who pieces together a downtempo beat which the rapper flows over with nothing but bars.
The old-school feel is extended to the Siim Parisoo-made visuals where we see Josh kicking back in and around a classic whip at night.
