Blue Ivy was amongst many household names to win an NAACP award such as her own mother Beyoncé, powerhouse Rihanna and more.

At only eight years old, Jay-Z and Beyonce’s eldest daughter was awarded for “Outstanding Duo, Group or Collaboration” for her participation on the uplifting anthem “Brown Skin Girl” alongside her mother, SAINt JHN and Wizkid.

The song soared through the charts and had circulated social media, causing people to send in their own videos of them dancing to the hit and be featured in the official music video.

The single was taken from Beyoncé’s album The Lion King: The Gift which was the official soundtrack for the updated version of the legendary The Lion King that came out last summer.

This is not Blue Ivy’s first award as she was awarded for songwriting the same song last year at the BET Soul Train Awards. She is definitely taking after her mother!

Rihanna won the prolific Presidents Award for her philanthropic efforts and called for “unity” in her speech.
