The British Academy of Film and Television Arts has unveiled the shortlist for its outstanding debut by a British writer and among the list is Rapman’s huge film, Blue Story.
The film, which was released just a few weeks ago (November 22), is up against nine other films including Only You, Maiden, Retablo and more. The outstanding British debut category highlights exceptional films made by a British writer, director or producer.
Blue Story is a gritty drama is set in London and depicts a narrative in which two friends become rivals in a war on the streets.
Since its release, the film has proved popular with fans; earning over £1.3 million and becoming the third best grossing film in its opening weekend.
The winner for the award will be announced on February 2nd 2020 during the award ceremony for the Baftas.
