New York rapper Bobby Shmurda will remain in prison until 2021 after being denied parole.

According to TMZ, the Brooklyn artist’s request was denied last week (September 15) in an interview with the Board of Parole. It has also been reported that there was no reason for the denial and it’s likely that Bobby will remain in prison until the end of his sentence on December 11, 2021.

Shmurda has been behind bars since 2014 after being arrested on conspiracy and weapons possession charges. After initially pleading not guilty, the rapper entered a plea deal in 2016 and was sentenced to seven years in prison for 4th degree conspiracy and 2nd degree criminal weapons possession.

News of the rapper’s denied parole comes months after fellow New Yorker Fivio Foreign claimed Bobby Shmurda has an album to drop from behind bars.
