New York rapper Bobby Shmurda has announced via Instagram that he is dropping new music this month.
Via his Instagram Story, Bobby posted a picture of himself in a pink ensemble captioned “Studio nite. Dropping something this month. Watch yah head tops.”
The post was caught and captures by hip-hop figure and commentator DJ Akademiks.
This new release from Bobby will mark his first music drop since he was released from prison back in February.
Bobby had been in prison since 2014 after being found guilty of conspiracy and weapons possession charges.
The rapper initially pleaded not guilty, before entering a plea deal in 2016 and was subsequently sentenced to seven years in prison for 4th degree conspiracy and 2nd degree criminal weapons possession.
On his release, Bobby reportedly held a quiet dinner party with his family.

Prior to his incarceration, Bobby had released the projects Shmurda She Wrote, Shmurdaville and Shmoney Shmurda.
Bobby also appeared on the track “Stoopid” with fellow New York rapper 6ix9ine.
It was recently reported that Bobby has not released new music as of yet due to label issues.
Two Bees reports that Bobby Shmurda wants to switch from Epic Records to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation and that this is causing contractual issues.
