Burger King has come up with a playful idea to make sure that customers are keeping their distance from each other while in their restaurants.
Social distancing crowns are novelty hats designed to make sure people are six feet away from one another at all times. The hats have just been unveiled in Germany.
According to Business Insider, a Burger King spokesperson said it was a “playful” way to help diners stay safe.
They said, “We wanted to reinforce the rules of high safety and hygiene standards that the BK restaurants are following. The do-it-yourself social-distance crown was a fun and playful way to remind our guests to practice social distancing while they are enjoying food in the restaurants.”
However, this isn’t the first fun and unusual idea the people over at Burger King have had as in Italy, diners can buy the Social Distancing Whopper, which comes with more onion than the usual meal, with the idea being that the smell will put people off getting too close.
Burger King aren’t the first fast-food chain to start opening its doors as Mcdonald’s opened a number of its drive-thrus this week across the UK leading to huge queues.
