If your New Years resolution was to try new things, how about a Creme Egg curry? Yes, you heard that right.
Although it’s only January, Creme Eggs have returned to our shelves but Cadbury Chefs celebrated its return with a few new dishes with Creme Eggs as the primary ingredient – switching it up by turning the eggs into a curry, spaghetti and ‘meatballs’ and brownies dishes.
To put your mind and stomach at ease, the dishes weren’t as disgusting at they seemed. The spaghetti was actually white chocolate and the tomato sauce was made from jam. The rice with the curry was made from desiccated coconut and the curry consisted of Creme Eggs in a jam sauce, topped with a chopped mint leaf.
The unusual but wonderful concoctions were offered to the public on January 23 as part of a live stream event on Cadbury’s new content platform EATertainment, but the public weren’t the only brave people to dive into these weird dishes as famous faces such as Maya Jama and Ian Wright were invited to try the bizarre dishes.
It doesn’t look like the Creme Egg dishes will be on sale to the masses any time soon but the chocolate-filled event and meals seemed to prove popular with those in attendance.
