Call Of Duty Modern Warfare has been one of the most successful gaming franchises in recent history, and it looks set to build on this even further with the latest iteration of the series with the announcement of Modern Warfare 3.
Due out in early November this year, the series looks to revitalise some player favourites from yesteryear, most notably Call of Duty Zombies. The multiplayer mode has featured prominently throughout the series, but its appearance in Black Ops 2 back in 2012 was probably its star turn. The ability to fight off waves of zombies, while frantically repairing windows with flimsy wooden boards in the hope that one of you might procure the elusive Ray Gun, made for riotous fun. More than 10 years on, the mode still holds up, but Modern Warfare 3 promises to surpass this.
The new mode adds open world PVE elements, as well as the ability to team up with other squads in an attempt to fend off the hordes of zombies in what has been dubbed the “largest” Call Of Duty Zombies map to date.
Aside from the new Call of Duty Zombie gameplay, Modern Warfare 3 will include all 16 launch maps from the original Modern Warfare 2 (2009) and for the first time in the series, players will be able to carry forward all vast amounts of content that they unlocked during Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2.
