Carns Hill has released a new mixtape, Hurt Your Parents Feelings featuring appearances from some of the UK’s best talent including Suspect, Headie One, K-Trap, Deepee, LD and more.
Carns Hill calls on several members of 67 for verses; Dimzy, LD, Scribz, Monkey, SJ and ASAP all appear on songs across the 16 track long new release. Members of London collective Smoke Boys also appear on the project; Deepee and Swift flow over an upbeat instrumental on “10-10” and Deepee appears again on “Endless” along with Dimzy and Mischief.
North London’s Headie One joins K-Trap, LD and Blade Brown for the balanced and confident collaboration, “Why”. The track sees verses from the artists as well as a chorus from LD in his low cadence.
Other artists on the project include Kwengface, Karma, Youngs Teflon, v9 and SouthsideJB.
The tape offers a unique and creative take on the drill genre, the varying and contrasting instrumentals on the project combine familiar elements of the genre’s signature sound along with new elements borrowed from hip-hop and trap.
Hurt Your Parents Feelings comes after the 2018 release of SRB Separation Confirmed (The Dark Print) which again housed massive link-ups with some of the scene’s biggest artists. Carns Hill also released P Nut’s project CBT: Cognitive Behaviour Therapy which he solely produced.
Carns Hill has production credits across 67’s catalogue and recently produced the LD assisted track “Neighbourhood Watch” for Skepta which is likely to appear on Skepta’s upcoming album, SK Level.
