It has been announced that Celtic football club will face charges from UEFA, after large pockets of their fans displayed some controversial banners.

During their Champions League qualifying fixture against Israeli side Hapoel Beer Sheva, fans unfurled dozens of Palestinian flags.

UEFA bans the use of “any message that is not fit for a sports event, particularly messages that are of a political, ideological, religious, offensive or provocative nature”.

Celtic are to face their trial on September 22nd.
