The UEFA Champions League final is the most prestigious event in club football, and this year, it will be broadcast like never before.

BT Sport have confirmed that they are not only making the final free to broadcast for everybody, but it will be available in 360 virtual reality as well as 4K Ultra HD on YouTube.

BT Sport are doing their utmost to heighten our experience, where the 360 virtual reality will allow us to select our own camera viewpoint or the 360 experience produced by the programme. The accessibility to 4K Ultra HD on YouTube is also unprecedented, so anybody who streams games online certainly do not have to worry about finding a crisp enough stream as it’ll be free to us all!

John Petter, BT Consumer CEO, stated that BT Sport want to make sport more accessible to the general public and that “VR (virtual reality) can offer our viewers an immersive second screen view which will enhance our coverage,” meaning we can see the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Paulo Dybala and Sergio Ramos from views like never before!

The 2017 final between Juventus vs Real Madrid is to be played on Saturday 3rd June at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff. Kick off at 7.45pm!
