In terms of movies, we’re living in the time of the remakes; with a Scarface remake on the horizon it really seems that no films are sacred.

Disney has been following the trend by remaking many of its classics, but in an interesting twist they’ve been turning them into live action films, as opposed to animated.

Jungle Book
was the first to receive this treatment and it looks like Lion King is next to follow suit.

Donald Glover, aka Childish Gambino, has been cast to play adult Simba in the reboot and after his huge success with his own TV series Atlanta there’s no doubt he’ll do a sterling job.

James Earl Jones is set to reprise his role as Mufusa, despite remakes often being worse than the originals, this one is already shaping up to be something special.

It tops off a good year for Gambino and his acting career, as he also landed the role of Lando Carlrisian in the forthcoming Han Solo spin-off.
