R&B singer, Chris Brown has been arrested in Paris following accusations of rape. A 24-year-old woman alleges that he assaulted her in a hotel suite earlier this month after they met a nightclub earlier that evening.
Brown was detained on Monday alongside his bodyguard and friend. According to Associated Press, investigators have two days to decide whether Brown will be set free.
This isn’t the first time Brown has had a run-in with the law surrounding violence.
He previously received five years probation and a community service order for assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Rihanna back in 2009. In 2016 he was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. In May 2018, a lawsuit was filed that Brown and a friend had raped an anonymous lady at her California home during February 2017. His latest arrest fell in July 2018 where he was done for battery after allegedly assaulting a man in Florida after a concert.
Brown’s publicists are yet to comment.
