After announcing plans to re-open cinemas in July last month, Cineworld has now unveiled further plans to open its doors on July 10.

The company took to Twitter to share the news, writing: “If you are bored of “home” […] We are excited to announce that we are planning to reopen Cineworld Cinemas across England on 10 July!”

In a statement on its website, Cineworld said the opening date of July 10 is “subject to final clarifications and confirmation in regards to UK government restrictions, with dates to follow for our cinemas in Scotland, Wales and Ireland.”

The statement then goes on to list films we can expect to see following its return including Mulan, Tenet, A Quiet Place Part II and No Time To Die.

To ensure safety for film-lovers, the company also announced safety measures it will be implementing such as social distancing, e-ticketing, updated seating maps, staggered film times, plastic screens at tills and more.

The re-opening of Cineworld cinemas will come after the company closed it doors back in March due to the coronavirus pandemic.
