If you’re sick of streaming films from your home and miss the cinema experience, there’s some good news as Cineworld – which closed all its cinemas back in March due to the coronavirus pandemic – has now unveiled plans to re-open in July.
The company has said in a statement that all of its 128 cinemas in the UK will re-open in July if it receives the green light from the government to do so.
The statement from Cineworld reads: “Cineworld currently anticipates that government restrictions related to cinemas will be lifted in each of its territories by July.
“Subject to this and confirmation of the schedule for film releases, Cineworld anticipates the reopening of all of its cinemas in July. Cineworld has put in place procedures to ensure a safe and enjoyable cinema experience for its employees and customers.”
The re-opening of Cineworld will come with two new films – Tenet and Mulan.
We can expect the cinema experience to feel a little different to what we’re used to as Cineworld will have to keep to social distancing measures.
They added: “Cineworld has put in place procedures to ensure a safe and enjoyable cinema experience for its employees and customers.”
