Rap duo City Girls have defended themselves after an unearthed diss track leaked where they call out Nicki Minaj and Cardi B.
JT, one half of the City Girls duo, is heard in the audio taking snipes at Cardi, Nicki and Kash Doll.
JT says, “Cardi B? Cardi B had Love & Hip Hop to help her. We ain’t got Love & Hip Hop. If you keep talking, I’ll diss Cardi. I don’t mind dissing a fucking bitch.”
They also refer to the three female rappers as “dirty whores”.
The diss comes as a shock as Cardi B has publicly supported the City Girls and defended them against controversy; Cardi also provided guest vocals on their massive hit “Twerk” which received viral explicit visuals.
In response to the controversy, Yung Miami said on Instagram Live, “We were playing around, just freestyling on a beat. We never thought nobody was going to hear that shit. We never thought we were going to be signed. We never thought none of that. We was just playing around. I’m so aggravated. Y’all wanna end the City Girls so bad, but that ain’t gonna happen”.
Yung Miami added, “At the end of the day, Cardi B, QC (Quality Control), we’re all a family. We would never go against Cardi B ever. Keep City Girls out of your mouth. We were just playing around and never thought we would have any of this”.
The City Girls are formed of JT and Yung Miami. JT is currently serving time behind bars and fans have been anxiously awaiting her release. Yung Miami is seven months pregnant and still working hard as she prepares for motherhood and JT’s pending release.
Cardi B, Nicki Minaj and Kash Doll are yet to respond to the track.
