Although the whole thing may be turning into some sort of old school WWF scripted drama, one cannot deny the palpable excitement that the #MayMac media tour is garnering. McGregor who is a rare breed indeed someone who can actually back the crazy amount of trash talk has been hugely entertaining and has most certainly stolen the show in Toronto, after getting off to a shaky in LA.

McGregor who looked supremely comfortable on stage began his tirade by bolding declaring, “Cut my mic off? Cut the champ’s mic off? Hell no. They’re trying to throw me off and set me in an uncomfortable position but I thrive in uncomfortable positions. I’m 28 years old and I’m getting fight cheques and promoter cheques. When Floyd was 28 he was on Oscar De lL Hoya’s under card. Floyd is an old, weak b****, He’s never fought a day in his life; he’s a runner, he’s boxing’s biggest b****.”

It certainly seemed that McGregor had the crowd on his side as Mayweather was booed throughout the entire press conference and chants of “Pay your taxes” could be heard, referring reports that Mayweather still owes the IRS millions after the Pacquiao fight.

It’s clear that McGregor is more than a match for Mayweather outside the ring, although it’s what happens inside the ring on the 26th of August that really matters. The media tour continues on to NYC today before coming to London on Friday.
