The first-ever Jamaican women’s bobsleigh team will compete at this years 2018 Winter Olympics.

Back in 1988, Cool Runnings debuted a story showing the journey of how the Jamaican male bobsleigh team made it the Winter Olympics for the first time in 1988.

Fast forward to 2018, where the Jamaica Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation has announced that their first-ever women’s team will participate in the games this year. Captain Jazmine Fenlator-Victorian, who usually plays for the USA, has decided to represent her fathers native country where she will be joined by Carrie Russell and Audra Segree.

Hopefully the girls will bag a 2018 success story which may inspire a sequel to one of the funniest sports movies ever, Cool Runnings.
