A white couple in their mid-twenties have received a combined sentence of 35 years after spewing racial hatred and terrorising children and adults at a young boys eighth birthday party.
Jose Ismael Torres and Kayla Rae Norton were arrested after gate-crashing the party in Douglassville, outside Atlanta.
Witnesses described the horrific scenes in which the couple drove past with confederate flags and shouted racial slurs, with one person holding a gun, shouting he “was gonna kill the n—–s.”
Addressing her victims who were in court, a teary Norton said, “What happened to you is absolutely awful. From mother to mother, I cannot imagine having to explain what that word means.’
Their actions came just one month after 22 year old Dylann Roof murdered nine black men and women in a church in Charleston.
