Zimbabwean-born R&B songwriter and producer Daecolm returns with brand new single “Hot Topic”.
Outlining the bittersweet nature of a deep relationship, Daecolm hones in toxic feelings involved, showcasing his sweeping melodies. Gliding across the gritty 808-filled production, he emphasises the all too familiar ups and downs of a passionate and somewhat unhealthy relationship.
The video, directed by Teeeezy C, turns up the heat as it follows Daecolm and his intimate love affair through multiple eye-catching scenes, enhancing the sultry mood of the track.
Speaking on the single, Daecolm said: “This one’s got a whole heart on the sleeve vibe to it. It’s by far the most honest I’ve been with my music and I hope people feel what I’m saying.”
