Sonically its Dan’s trademark mix and blend of R&B and Afro tinged sounds, speaking on the motivations behind the project Dan says: “I Couldn’t Sleep So I Wrote A Song About You is really me exorcising my feelings and breathing them out. I remember back in the day when mixtapes where out and artists just released for the sake of releasing a moment, that’s what this is for me.”
