Following a one-year of build-up, front-line Birmingham-based MC, Dapz On The Map, has released his long-awaited E.P Champion Settings. The project comes following the recent release of two singles, “Off To Work” ft JME (check the visuals out here), and more recently “Turnt” featuring fellow Brummie Scorpz; which was premiered on GRM Daily, catch up with that video here.
From the opening track “Long Time” to the emotionally stringent “ROWT” (Right One Wrong Time), the E.P. sees Dapz tightly tie his harmonically produced vocals with an unforgiving combative, calculated tone.
Dapz OTM’s footprints were first firmly established in the trenches of the scene in 2014, with Froggy, a joint EP with long-time collaborator and 0121 veteran, Jaykae. It wasn’t until the following year however, that Dapz honed in on his raw, aggressive yet melodic tone, focusing on a grime-centric fan base.
The project, which also features Blay Vision and Bowzer Boss arrives a few days before Dapz OTM’s second headline show at the O2 Academy Birmingham, scheduled for Tuesday 27th Nov. Check out the project in all its glory below.
