Keeping up the work rate with a new single dubbed “Contingency” is Birmingham rhymer Dapz On The Map!
Reconnecting with producer Swifta Beats, Dapz provides us with an energetic – yet self-reflective – offering filled with the cleanest of flows.
“The inspiration for the track stems from conversations I’ve had with family, friends & supporters,” Dapz said. “They all echo a similar message. ‘Where’s the new music?’ ‘We need consistency?’ ‘We just want to know what’s in store fam, tell us what you’ve been through’.
“Contingency” is taking accountability for my lack of music and leaving no room for Plan B. It’s a self-reflecting message and essentially a mental battle whilst giving encouragement that I can achieve my goals if I remain consistent.“
The track is Dapz’s third release in under a month following “Streets Of Rage” with Tempa and “Born & Raised”. “Contingency” is the first track to be released from his upcoming debut album so we can expect even more material from Dapz in the near future.
