Dating expert Jana Hocking has shared a new theory circulating on social media that suggests women should hold off on intimacy until a man has spent a significant amount of money on them.
Hocking explained her perspective on this concept, highlighting two key reasons why it’s gaining attention.
She said, “The first reason why this new rule is kinda growing on me is that if a guy is willing to go on enough dates to warrant $2,000 out of pocket expense, then there’s a fair chance the guy is properly invested in you.”
Secondly, Hocking suggests that spending substantial time together without immediately pursuing intimacy can help a couple address potential compatibility issues early on in the relationship.
The dating expert credits Tink, a dating podcast host, for introducing her to this theory. Although she initially had reservations about the concept, considering the substantial financial investment – around £1600 – required, she has warmed to it. Hocking acknowledges that this theory may not apply to super-wealthy individuals but believes it’s worth considering for regular people.
