Channel 4’s Deal Or No Deal has been scrapped, after more than 10 years of filming the game show.

Produced in 2005, Dear Or No Deal has run for more than 3000 episodes and in that time it has given £40million to 3000 contestants, but rumours had been circulating for a long time as to whether the show would continue.

In its heyday, the show used to attract audiences of more than 4.6 million viewers, but its biggest audience this year pulled in just under 400,000 viewers, in February.

For all Noel Edmonds’ die hard fans, fear not. In an announcement made on Frday, Channel 4 confirmed that a final series will be aired this Autumn, prior to a farewell tour in which the show will be filmed at iconic landmarks in various parts of the UK.

In addition, this will not end Channel 4’s association with Edmonds, as he is making a new game show for the broadcaster which is currently entitled Cheap Cheap Cheap.
