A new documentary entitled Defending Digga D has arrived on BBC Three.

Clocking in at just under 1-hour in length, the documentary follows the life of west London rapper Digga D since his release from prison in May this year, after serving 15 months behind bars.

As one of the first musicians in British history to be given a criminal behaviour order which affects his output of music, the doc display’s Digga’s drive to make it in the music industry despite the setbacks.

“The police say they target drill because it promotes and causes violence, but the genre’s supporters call this censorship and say that the art simply reflects real life,” a synopsis for the film on the BBC Three website reads.

“Digga’s situation, and his ongoing story, embodies this dilemma. His next moves could redefine his life, and his music, forever.

“A year after his social media accounts stopped, a year after his last music video, his last post and his last tweet, Digga is coming back. This film tells the story of how he manages that, and who is helping him.”

The documentary is available to view now on BBC Three right here, before airing on BBC One on November 27th at 11:55pm.
