A new posthumous offering has arrived from late Birmingham rapper, Depzman.
Titled “Life Cut Short”, this track is a heartfelt one made up of introspective and emotional lyrics from Depz – real name Joshua Ribera – who was tragically stabbed to death in 2013.
The visuals for the song have been made using new technology in collaboration with SBTV, Alison Cope (Depzman’s mother) and The Joshua Ribera Foundation. SBTV founder Jamal Edwards was also involved in the project prior to his passing earlier this year.
The description of the video reads: “This is a project that was very close to Jamal’s heart, we [SBTV] met Alison back in 2020 and Jamal immediately said we have to do this because legacy is important. Now we must continue the legacy of both Depzman and Jamal Edwards.”
