Brummy grime originator Devilman has released a new freestyle in Australia for SIKA TV.
Yet again displaying some quality bars and his unique flow, Devilman is a talented MC maybe taken for granted or overlooked by the scene, although he has received his dues for putting Birmingham on the map.
Perhaps his most famous feat was his participation in LOTM 2 where he clashed Skepta in a closely fought battle. The legacy of this bout is something which has continued to play pertinence to this day with the two firing a number of dubs and bars at each other over the years, with most recently Skepta’s diss track “Nasty”, and DEV’s track “Skepta Diss”.
This feud is touched upon by Devilman in this new freestyle, with him spitting “I’m fucked up like the London rioting, eat MCs alive there’s no time for dieting, I see fear is Skepta’s face everytime I direct my eye at him”.
It is unlikely we’ll hear much of a reply from Skepta with him reaching new levels of superstardom, but grime is lucky to have two talented MCs as these two.
